In a very special and rare engagement, the Ives Siblings are coming together this March to run for Team Kayla in the Jerusalem Marathon. Technically, by “run” we mean walk and by “marathon” we mean 10k. But these are minor details in the scheme of all the blessing brought to the world by the newest member of the Ives tribe… KAYLA JACOBS, born a few months ago to Adina And Yitzi, my amazing niece and nephew who live in Israel. And with the addition of Kayla, our family has also been blessed to start our relationship with the Shalva Institute, an organization that supports people like Kayla who have Downs Syndrome throughout their lives. We could not have imagined how deeply an organization could impact our family, and we are blown away by the brilliance, care, and love that the folks at Shalva continue to show at every turn.
