Run for Shalva - Shira Dishi

Goal: 3500
4598.16
Hello everyone, My name is Shira Dishi. I am currently a sophomore at North Shore Hebrew Academy High School. Last year, my father had the opportunity to run in the Jerusalem Marathon. As he was running, he noticed a group of people running with special-needs children. He felt such joy and passion in his heart. When he finished running the marathon, he called me and told me about his wonderful experience. I remember so clearly him telling me about all the different types of groups of people he saw, but one group stood out to me more than any other group, and that was the group running with the special needs children. After the conversation I had with my father, I went on social media and saw that people from my school were running for Shalva. I had connected the dots and later realized that Shalva was the group my father saw and had initially stood out to me. I knew that freshmen were not able to go on this amazing journey, but I promised myself that when the time was right, I would join my school in this opportunity. I believe that this is an extremely meaningful experience, because not only are you in the holy land, but you are also doing a great mitzvah by making others happy. Every Jew should get the opportunity to experience running in the marathon and contributing to such a wonderful organization. I can't wait to experience this amazing opportunity and make the most unforgettable memories that I will one day share with future generations. If you can please help me make this dream come true and contribute to this amazing cause, I would greatly appreciate it. Every single one of you can make a huge difference. I thank you in advance for your consideration, help, and generosity. Tizku Lemitzvot!
