This March I am going to be traveling all the way to Israel to run a portion of the Jerusalem Marathon as a representative of Team Shalva. Shalva is an incredible organization in Jerusalem that provides transformative care to people with disabilities. The centre is completely funded by donations and the families of those who have been helped by Shalva do not pay for anything. Shalva provides many opportunities such as education, therapy, social and recreational activities, a chance for independent living and so much more. From infants to teenagers, Shalva is a second home where individuals can grow and feel included. Their services are open to anyone, no matter their religion or ethnic background. Shalva has helped thousands of people and has been running for over 30 years. The work that Shalva does truly inspires me and I hope that through my trip to Israel I can support them and those who have been positively impacted by everything they do.
Any donations will be greatly appreciated and will contribute to changing the lives of many individuals.
