This March I will be running as part of Team Shalva in the Jerusalem Marathon 10k! Shalva is an Israeli organization that provides care to disabled Israelis of all ages.

I am running in memory of my great grandmother Raya Rakina z”l who I was lucky enough to know for 13 years of my life. My great grandmother was a very passionate Zionist and loved Israel. She inspires me to run farther every day because of the nickname she gave me, which in English means grasshopper. Anytime I am near the finish line and feel the pain in my body, I remind myself that I will always be her “grasshopper”. I love running and it is part of my every day life. It would be a dream come true if I could run the Jerusalem Marathon knowing that my great grandmother would support me the whole way and I will feel her smile as she watches me cross the finish line.

Thank you in advance for your help and generosity.
