Since the last time I wrote to you so much has changed. Both globally and personally. We have all spent much of our time locked away in our own little world, dealing with our own issues.
During the past 2 – 3 years those that rely on Shalva have had to cope with those issues and so much more. Shalva WOULD NOT and COULD NOT close its doors. Throughout the pandemic Shalva redoubled their efforts to assist those in need. They were not only dealing with all the issues that were present before the pandemic, but all the additional challenges associated with the pandemic.
They did their part…..now it is time for us to do our part.
I have not been able to participate in the last 3 marathons as they were cancelled….. but on March 17, 2023 Shalva will again be present and so will WE . I say WE because without YOUR support this run will have no meaning. In the past, as I will again this year, I have run with the list of names of each donor. You come with me each step of the way and it is this list that allows me to tackle the hills of Jerusalem.
You have supported Shalva in the past and I hope you will do so again this year. Each of you have given me the strength to run in this marathon.
I hope you will find it in your heart to support Shalva in all the wonderful things they do.
