Abigail Howard

My name is Abigail Howard and I'm raising money for an amazing organization called Shalva. Shalva is the Israeli association for the care and inclusion of people with disabilities. Shalva is dedicated to providing care for these individuals, helping their families, and promoting inclusion. When I first heard about this organization it really touched me. My sister Rachel, was born with special needs. I understand the struggle that so many families have and the challenges that arise caring and living with someone with special needs. Shalva has services and professionals to help each person that walks through their doors. They have physical therapists, massage therapists, dentists, and many amazing programs. Shalva also prepares the individuals for a bigger and brighter future, by helping them develop social skills and learn how to adapt to real world situations. Shalva also helps the families of these individuals. They provide groups, therapies and even some overnight programs for their children. All money raised goes directly to support children with special needs and their families. Hopefully one day Shalva will open a center everywhere in the world even here in Canada.
