Welcome to my marathon sponsor page!

This March I will be running as part of Team Shalva in the Jerusalem Marathon in loving memory of my Zeyde, Menachem Mendel.

Throughout his life, Zeyde was always smiling. He came to this country from war torn Europe with very few possessions, but he always kept his love for Judaism, observance and his love for Israel. He imparted these values in his children and his grandchildren. In addition to these values, from Zeyde I have learned to always smile and spread happiness to others. He was always laughing; his laughter could fill up a whole room and brighten the days of those around him. .

Shalva has been providing transformative care to children with disabilities and their family members in the most warm and loving environment for the past 28 years. The new state-of-the-art Shalva National Center opened in 2016 where they are now servicing literally thousands of children per week, free of charge.

Simply put, Shalva is an incredible place. It is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and cares for children from birth through 21 years.

Just like my Zeyde put a smile on the faces of those around him, I wish to help put smiles on the faces of the children of Shalva and to continue spreading happiness to all just as Zeyde did. All donations are 100% tax deductible, anything you can give would help me reach my goal, and together we'll be supporting this truly special place in Zeyde's memory.

Thank you in advance for your help and generosity, Gabby Schoenberg
